Title: Protect Medium: Oil Pastel on Illustration Board Size: 20″ x 30″
I have been experimenting with plate painting lately and I have benn pleased with the result I’d like to do a few series and maybe try them on etsy, so far I haven’t had too much luck selling anything on there but I’m gonna keep trying.
I really need to pick up my efforts on this one, It has been a little frustrating at times but I’m really beginning to like the way this is truning out. I don’t have too much more to go.
I haven’t posted a bit for several reasons, for one thing I closed my art store in December because of high rent and bad economy. Then I was on dial-up until about a week ago, and anyone on dial-up knows keeping up with web sites is nearly impossible. Then I recently started a new job and that is consuming way more of my mind than it should. I have been working on a piece that is causing me much frustration so I can only work on it in small doses before I start to get annoyed. Here is what I have so far.
This is the first in a series that I plan on completing of interiors of restaurants or in this case a Market. This is the inside of the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia. After I took this photo, which isn’t the best anyway, I notice that there were small things that I forgot to paint so this is a photo of the painting almost finished.
Well I haven’t kept up with this one very well but I did start this painting a while back and only just now got around to finishing it. This piece I call acrophobia, it was based on a picture that I took when I was in Philadelphia. I also tried out some new techniques with this one that I have never used before.
I added a new gallery to my printroom site. These are photos taken in Philadelphia at the home of artist Jeremiah Zagar. I found this to be the best part of my visit to Philly and loved so much about the city but this house is incredible. Every photo I sell from this gallery will go the the foundation Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens they raise money to support the artist and preserve his beautiful work.
